What the Electrical, Electronics and Information Technology (GEii) Department of the IUT of Rennes aims at, is forming highly skilled and thoroughly qualified engineers, making them relevant to modern techniques, whether in Electronics, Information technology or Industrial Automatism.
The GEii department offers a variety of subjects coherently organized in a range of four different courses, that is, Electronics, Automatism and Systems, Computer Science and Local Industrial Networks, as well as Energy Conversion and Renewable Energies.
Our students can also go on a further year - Professional Degree - either mechatronics or renewable energy-oriented.
Just as the 20th century witnessed the birth of the GEii field, the 21st century will see the beginning of several specialties founded on the GEii basis : intelligent sensors, electronics in the health and lodging services, remote controlled maintenance, embedded systems, monitoring and renewable energies being a few among many fast progressive fields which illustrate the will to remain dynamic partners of the shaping of our future.
